The Schmortopf Java IDE is an integrated development environment for Java.
I use it at home and develop it further from time to time.
The executable jar file and the source are free.

Requirements
You need at least a JDK 5. You have to start the IDE with a batch file and assign it more than 64MB memory,
for example like this: (jdk5 path)\bin\java.exe -Xmx256m -jar Schmortopf.jar
As alternative for Windows in admin mode, you can use the
Schmortopf launch application
, which lets you choose among the
installed JDKs and set other launch parameters.
